❓ Help & Support

How Can We Help?

Everything you need to know about flights and Umrah travel with Diamond Travels — answered clearly and honestly, no matter which U.S. state you're flying from.

Booking & Fares
Flight bookings from the USA to worldwide destinations

The best way is to call or WhatsApp our team directly. We have access to consolidator fares, airline-only rates, and unpublished deals that never appear on comparison websites like Google Flights or Skyscanner. For many routes — especially South Asia, the Middle East, and Umrah travel to Saudi Arabia — our prices are consistently USD 75–USD 350 lower per seat than publicly listed fares, no matter which U.S. state you're departing from.

It depends on your route:

  • USA to Pakistan/India: 10–14 weeks ahead. Eid and wedding-season fares spike about 6 weeks out, so book early.
  • USA to Saudi Arabia (Umrah): 8–12 weeks ahead; Ramadan fares can double, so lock in early.
  • USA to the Middle East (Dubai, Istanbul): Fares are more liquid and can drop 3–4 weeks before off-peak travel.
  • USA to the UK/Europe: 6–10 weeks before departure; avoid the summer and December peaks.
  • USA to Southeast Asia (Bangkok, Manila): 10–12 weeks ahead, especially over the winter holiday season.

Our enquiry form gets you in touch with a specialist who will confirm availability and send you a personalised quote. We don't process card payments through an automated online system — this is intentional. It means you speak to a real person who can access the best rate for your specific dates, rather than a system showing you the highest publicly available fare.

Yes. If you find a genuine like-for-like fare on a comparable itinerary from a reputable source, share the details with us and we'll match or beat it. The key word is like-for-like — the same airline, same dates, same baggage allowance. Low-cost carriers with no checked baggage are not comparable to full-service airline fares.

Once you submit an enquiry or call us, we typically confirm fare availability within a few hours during business hours (Mon–Sat, 9am–7pm). For complex itineraries or group bookings, same-day confirmation is our target. You'll receive your booking confirmation and e-ticket by email.

🧳
Baggage
Allowances, fees, and what you can bring

Baggage allowance varies by airline and fare class. When we send your quote, we'll confirm exactly what's included. Most full-service airlines on our routes (Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, American Airlines) include 23–30kg checked baggage and 7–8kg cabin baggage as standard. We'll always highlight any fare with restricted or no checked baggage before you confirm.

Yes. We can arrange additional checked baggage allowance at the time of booking, usually at a lower rate than purchasing directly with the airline later. If you need more than your allowance after booking, contact us and we'll get it added for you — it's always cheaper pre-purchased than at the airport.

Each airline has slightly different rules. Common limits for airlines on our routes:

  • Emirates: 55 × 38 × 20 cm, max 7kg
  • Qatar Airways: 50 × 37 × 25 cm, max 7kg
  • American Airlines: 56 × 36 × 23 cm
  • Turkish Airlines: 55 × 40 × 23 cm, max 8kg

These are enforced at the gate. If your bag is borderline, weigh and measure it before you leave home.

Yes, but it needs to be arranged in advance. Sports equipment (golf clubs, bicycles, skis) and oversized musical instruments are treated as special baggage and charged separately by most airlines. Let us know when enquiring so we can factor it into your booking and confirm any surcharges upfront.

Umrah Travel
Visas, packages and guidance for your journey

A typical Umrah package from Diamond Travels combines your round-trip flight, hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, and ground transport between the two cities. We tailor each package to your dates and budget — from economy group departures to private, flexible itineraries — and can add extras like a Ziyarat (historical sites) tour or an extended stay. Tell us your travel window and group size and we'll build a package around it.

Yes. Saudi Arabia requires a dedicated Umrah visa, and most U.S. passport holders can apply for it as an eVisa. When you book an Umrah package with us, the visa application is handled as part of the process — we'll guide you through the documents needed and the typical processing time. Always confirm your passport has at least six months' validity before you travel.

Umrah can be performed at any time of year except during the Hajj period. Ramadan is by far the busiest and most spiritually significant time to go, but it's also when demand — and fares — are at their highest, so we recommend booking 3–4 months ahead if that's your goal. Outside of Ramadan and the U.S. summer and winter holiday peaks, you'll generally find better fares, faster visa processing, and smaller crowds at the holy sites.

Yes. Groups of 10 or more — whether it's an extended family or a mosque or community group — qualify for group Umrah rates, similar to our group flight discounts. We coordinate flights, hotel blocks, and ground transport so everyone travels together, and assign a dedicated specialist to manage the itinerary from booking through to return. Share your group size, preferred dates, and city of departure and we'll put together a tailored quote.

Pack light, comfortable clothing for transit and the seamless white Ihram garments required once you cross the Miqat boundary — men typically need two unstitched sheets, women wear a simple, modest dress with a headscarf. Toiletries should be unscented, as fragranced products aren't permitted in the state of Ihram. Your checked baggage allowance is the same as on a standard international fare unless your specific airline says otherwise — we'll confirm this when we quote your package.

Changes & Cancellations
Amending or cancelling your booking

In most cases, yes — subject to the airline's fare rules for your ticket. Some fares are fully flexible, others allow date changes with a fee, and some restricted fares do not allow changes at all. We'll always tell you the flexibility rules before you confirm your booking. To make a change, contact us with your booking reference and we'll handle it directly with the airline.

Refunds depend entirely on the fare type. Flexible fares are refundable minus a small admin fee. Semi-flexible fares offer a partial refund or credit. Non-refundable fares typically allow only a tax refund. We'll confirm refund eligibility for your specific ticket before booking. If the airline cancels the flight, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of fare type.

If the airline cancels your flight, you are generally entitled to either a full refund, a replacement flight, or re-routing at the earliest opportunity, depending on the airline's policy and applicable regulations. Contact us immediately and we'll manage the process with the airline on your behalf — including any compensation you may be entitled to.

Minor name corrections (1–3 characters) can usually be corrected, sometimes at no charge, sometimes with a small airline fee. More significant name changes are treated differently by each airline — some allow full name changes for a fee, others do not permit them at all. Contact us as soon as you spot the error — the sooner you act, the more options we have available.

Groups & Families
Travelling together

Yes. Groups of 10 or more passengers travelling together qualify for group rates on most airlines. Group fares often include benefits like flexible name changes, guaranteed seating together, and a fixed price that won't fluctuate as seats sell. Contact us with your group size, route, and approximate travel dates for a tailored quote.

Yes. Infants (under 2) travel on your lap at a reduced fare (typically 10% of the adult fare) and can use an airline-supplied bassinet on long-haul routes — request this when enquiring. Children (2–11) pay a reduced child fare. We'll always confirm ages at the time of booking to ensure the correct pricing and documentation requirements.

Most airlines accept unaccompanied minors aged 5–17, subject to their specific UM policy. The airline charges a supervision fee, and the child is met and looked after by airline staff throughout the journey. We handle all the paperwork — contact forms, guardian details, and arrival arrangements. Tell us the child's age and route and we'll advise on the right airline and process.

We do our best to secure seats together when booking, though airlines have different policies around pre-assigned seating depending on your fare class. Some airlines offer free family seating; others charge for seat selection. We'll flag the options and costs for your specific booking so there are no surprises at the airport.

💳
Payment
How to pay and deposit options

Once we confirm your fare and you're happy to proceed, we'll send you a secure payment link or Zelle details. We accept all major debit and credit cards, Zelle, and certain digital wallets. Card payments may incur a small processing fee depending on the card type — we'll confirm this before you pay.

For some bookings, particularly those made well in advance, we can arrange a deposit to hold the fare with the balance due closer to departure. This depends on the airline's ticketing deadline for your specific fare — some fares must be fully ticketed immediately. We'll advise what's possible when we provide your quote.

Yes. Payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant systems. For Zelle or wire transfers, we will only ever use the details included in your official invoice — never details sent by email that you haven't verified with us by phone. We advise always calling to confirm payment details before any transfer, as a precaution against fraud.

Check-In & Travel Documents
What you need before you fly

Online check-in typically opens 24–48 hours before departure depending on the airline. We recommend checking in online as early as possible to choose your preferred seat. For major U.S. gateways like JFK (New York), LAX (Los Angeles), and ORD (Chicago), allow plenty of time for bag drop, security, and getting to your gate — especially during peak periods.

Requirements vary by destination and your nationality. As a general guide for U.S. passport holders:

  • Saudi Arabia (Umrah): eVisa required for most travellers, arranged as part of your Umrah package.
  • India: e-Visa required, obtainable online before travel.
  • Pakistan: Visa required; dual nationals of Pakistani origin may use a NICOP card.
  • UAE (Dubai): Visa on arrival for U.S. passport holders.
  • Turkey / UK / Schengen Europe: Visa-free or e-visa short stays for U.S. passport holders (check current limits).

Always check the U.S. State Department's travel advisories for your destination before travelling. We're happy to advise — just ask when you enquire.

For long-haul international flights, we recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before departure. This allows time for bag drop, security queues, and reaching your gate. During holidays and peak travel periods, queues at major U.S. airports can be significant — arriving 3.5 hours early is not excessive over the summer or December holidays.

An e-ticket is perfectly valid for all airlines we work with. You'll receive your e-ticket by email after full payment. We recommend saving it to your phone (screenshot it in case you lose signal) and having a printed copy as a backup — some destinations may request to see your onward ticket at immigration.
